A Heavy Metal Fast Food Crime Comic.
TRVE KVLT is a cathartic series about apathy and unhappiness. It all revolves around Marty, an average dude working at the local Burger Lord just trying to scrape by, when he mistakenly steals a supernatural weapon from a wild cult led by a monster in the form of a human. The first issue of this series is complete, and ready to read, so the primary goal of this campaign is to raise funds for the subsequent three issues and pay the team for the work it’s put toward this passion project.
The Idols of Solanşehir: Issue Four
Creators: Vera Greentea (writer), Dottobow (artists)
End date: December 4, 2020
Goodies: The PDF is $2, and the physical tier includes postcards, stickers, and PDFs of every back issue for $20.
Support The Idols of Solanşehir, a myth-drenched story about sisters. Written by Vera Greentea and illustrated by Dottobow.
Greentea publishing continues The Idols of Solanşehir with a campaign for issue 4. For the uninitiated, it’s a moody, bewitching series following two sisters as they come together to help their brother as he struggles to cope with visions from another realm, and a relic he brought with him. This issue will be 22 pages and fully colored. Anyone just hearing about the series can catch up in one of several tiers, including a digital tier with all four issues for just $10.
Empress / Cesarzowa
Creators: Dominika Węcławek (writer), Maciej Pałka (artist)
End date: December 5, 2020
Goodies: Grab a digital version for $11, get the hardcover album for $24, or pledge higher for drawings, postcards, posters, and more.
Meet a fearless heroine, visit ravaged lands of haunted paintings, become a part of a mythos. Empress – The graphic novel
Empress / Cesarzowa is a wordless story of a warrior in a world without gods. She treks through the desolate wastelands of the future where a cruel empress reigns supreme. From the looks of things, it’s a bit of a trippy ride thanks to Pałka’s surrealist colors and style, with a post-apocalyptic story inspired by postindustrial landscapes and a surrealist twist. The team is aiming to put together a 120-page graphic novel, in HC A4 size. The first 100 pages are already complete, so Empress / Cesarzowa will be in backers’ hands as soon as next February.
Creators: Ross Radke (creator, writer, colorist), Hugo Feal-Permuy (artist), Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou (letterer), Guy Pradel (artist), Matthew Sargent (writer, artist)
End date: October 31, 2020
Goodies: Grab a digital version for $4, a physical version for $7, get it signed for $13, or pledge higher for commissions.
Part 2 of a 4-issue kaiju anthology comic miniseries, created by Ross Radke.
Stomped, the kaiju comics collection, is back for a second issue. Created by Ross Radke, this anthology features giant monster stories written by him, and drawn by artists around the world. This time around, the collection features two main stories: one follows a team of scientists researching a wayward hunk of kaiju flesh, while the other involves the UN Kaiju Forces using drone tech to take out a monster from range. Along with a 6-page backup story, pin-ups, and sketchbook material, Stomped #2 will clock in at 44 pages of full color action.
Bata Bros & klub zin: The Fortunate Isle Comic Book
Creators: Julian and Gabor Bata (authors)
End date: November 7, 2020
Goodies: A PDF is $10, the physical book is $12, and higher tiers include stickers sheets, shirts, and more.
70+ pages long fantasy adventure comic book about a young girl and a unicorn trying to find their place in a dying land.
Publisher Klub Zin is preparing for the launch of The Fortunate Isle; a fantasy adventure taking place in a world falling apart at the edges. It follows Mickey, a young girl, and her cynical unicorn friend, Russandra, as they escape a cult hot on the trail of a rare unicorn horn. The Bata brothers are putting it all together in a black and white, zine-style comic with tight gutters, and the final product will be around 70 pages, sewn together in an A5 format on munken paper, with a full color cover.
