The pandemic is still causing a whole host of issues for the film and TV industry, with release dates for huge tentpole movies constantly in flux as a result of the ongoing disruption. Sony only recently announced that Venom: Let There Be Carnage would be delayed from June to September later this year, but the studio has since announced that it’s pushing the Marvel film back yet again. Luckily for Tom Hardy fans, the delay isn’t as big as the previous push back.

There’s been a slow build for the hype around Venom: Let There Be Carnage, but with set photos previously showing Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kassady in action, many fans are interested to see how the Sony film deals with the symbiote serial killer. Thankfully, the Tom Hardy film has only been moved back one week, now debuting on September 24, 2021.

Are you still excited to see Tom Hardy and the symbiote again in Venom: Let There Be Carnage? What did you think to the first film? Sound-off in the comments below!

Here is the synopsis for Sony’s first Venom film:

The evolution story of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass character – Venom! Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancée. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?

Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.

Venom is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding Sony’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content!
