Ezra Miller The Flash Batman v Superman Justice League Andy Muschietti Fantastic Beasts Zack Snyder Kiersey Clemons Flashpoint Justice LeagueOne of the producers behind The Flash recently opened up about Ezra Miller’s first cinematic solo outing as the Scarlet Speedster.

During a recent Q&A session, The Flash producer Barbara Muschietti was asked about the plot of the highly-anticipated DC Comics movie. While she couldn’t reveal much, Muschietti teased that the movie “restarts everything” but “doesn’t forget anything.” She also teased that it features a lot of DC Comics characters. Here’s the full quote:

“Well, I want you to go see it, so I’m not going to tell you a lot. But what I will tell you is that it’s a ride. It’s going to be fun and exciting and there are a lot of DC characters in it. Flash is the superhero of this film because he is the bridge between all of these characters and timelines. And in a way, it restarts everything and doesn’t forget anything.”

Last month, Warner Bros. offered fans a first look at Ezra Miller’s The Flash during the first part of the DC FanDome event. The studio shared two pieces of concept art from the movie, showing Miller’s upgraded The Flash suit and the Fastest Man Alive working with Michael Keaton’s Batman.

Michael Keaton isn’t the only Batman that fans should expect to see in The Flash, as Justice League star Ben Affleck is also set to reprise his role as the Caped Crusader for the DC Films project. Affleck was reportedly very open to reprising the role after originally leaving the cape and cowl behind in January 2019. The relationship between Affleck’s Batman and Ezra Miller’s The Flash is said to be a key part of the upcoming movie.

Meanwhile, Ray Fisher is said to be in “deep negotiations” to make a cameo appearance in Ezra Miller’s The Flash. Fisher is currently in a public battle with Warner Bros. after accusing Joss Whedon of “gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable” behavior on the set of the Justice League movie. The actor has also called out former DC President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns and producer Jon Berg, claiming that the two “enabled” Whedon.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on The Flash and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content.
